ERLANGEN, Germany, Oct. 15, 2007 -- Siemens Water Technologies, a Division of the Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services Group (I&S), and inge AG in Greifenberg, Germany have entered into a cooperation agreement to supply and distribute ultrafilter membrane modules. Siemens will have exclusive rights to distribute the patented water treatment modules of inge AG in the Americas, in Australia, New Zealand and in the United Kingdom. With its existing product line and the dizzer modules of inge AG, Siemens will thus have the most comprehensive range of products for water treatment in the world.
With its Memcor membrane product line, Siemens Water Technologies is the global leader and the only manufacturer and system integrator of both submerged and pressurized low-pressure membrane products. These systems are used for a wide range of applications covering drinking water treatment, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, and pretreatment in reverse osmosis.
inge AG in Greifenberg is specialized in the pressurized ultrafiltration of drinking water, industrial and wastewater. Their patented and self-produced ultrafilter membrane products combine mechanical strength and chemical stability. This stability and the long-term, cost-effective operational concept of their dizzer modules have already well established the company on the international market.
Through the cooperation agreement with inge AG, Siemens Water Technologies will be able to expand its own product line of pressurized membranes and will broaden their technology leadership through the exclusive marketing rights.
"Siemens will now be the only global provider to offer such an extensive range of membrane technology solutions. So, we're even better able to meet our customer's needs," said Roger Radke, president and CEO of Siemens Water Technologies.
Wolfgang Distler, CEO of inge AG said: "Our ultrafiltration systems are already exceptionally popular in Europe and Asia. The excellent presence of Siemens in the cooperation markets combined with the quality of our products will now open up large potential for both our companies".
The internationally operative inge AG with registered office in Greifenberg at Lake Ammersee (Bavaria/Germany) develops, produces and markets ultrafiltration membranes and modules for the treatment of drinking water, industrial water and wastewater.
Siemens Water Technologies delivers cost-effective, reliable water and wastewater treatment systems and services to municipal, industrial, commercial and institutional customers worldwide.
