MELVILLE, NY, July 24, 2007 -- Leslie Kessler, Chief Executive Officer of WaterChef Inc. announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Israel-based Bircon Ltd., an engineering firm specializing in ozone systems design and engineering. Bircon has an ozone development center in Israel, offices in Zurich, and manufacturing facilities in China. Under the terms of the agreement, Bircon's CEO and Chief Technical Officer, Gil Tenne, will join WaterChef as Chief Engineering Consultant, with responsibility for the coordination of WaterChef's product development, engineering and production functions. In addition, Bircon Ltd. will be WaterChef's non-exclusive sales agent for the PureSafe Water Station products in Israel and Europe.

Tenne comes to WaterChef with twenty-five years of experience in product development and engineering. He has previously served as Director of Technology for TransImago GmbH (Switzerland); President & CEO of Era-Massis Inc. (US); and CEO Composit Communications Ltd. (Israel). Tenne holds a B Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Information System Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

WaterChef Inc. is headquartered in Melville, New York. The PureSafe Water Station is a patented six-stage water purification system that destroys all living pathogens, and effectively treats a broad range of organic and inorganic water contaminants, without the use of chemicals and without wasting water. The Company offers stand-alone containerized versions of the PureSafe to provide from 15,000 up to 250,000 gallons a day, as well as units for brackish and ocean water desalination, heavy metals removal and the treatment of arsenic contaminated water.
