July 12, 2007 -- AUMA, the established manufacturer of electric actuators to the water industry, has been presented with an award for best supplier in United Utilities' Electrical, Controls and Automation (ECA) category.

United Utilities' kit team divides suppliers into five categories for award nominations and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are used to monitor success. The awards are organized quarterly by United Utilities.

Expanding on the KPI measures used, and the standard achieved by AUMA, Lorraine Morton, United Utilities Contracts and Business Coordinator said: "KPI's used to measure achievement are the time to complete design, quotation turnaround period, ability to deliver to program, product quality, health/safety/environment and early warning notices. AUMA achieved a score of 91.67% in respect of the nine contracts they were undertaking at the time of the assessment for United Utilities' two main contracting parties."

As framework actuator supplier to United Utilities for the last five years, the accolade from the FTSE 100 listed company reinforces AUMA's strengths in product quality, design and technical support.

The KPI's used to benchmark supply chain performance play a key role in United Utilities' commitment to working towards continuous performance improvement.

AUMA's ECA award was announced at United Utilities last kit framework meeting held 18th April 2007.
