• Participants gain competitive edge with Wonderware software
LAKE FOREST, CA, July 27, 2007 -- Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, today announced the success of its inaugural VAR/OEM Summit. Attended by value-added resellers (VARs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) from the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Sweden, participants represented a variety of vertical industries including DCS, transportation, power generation, web processing, facility management, food and beverage and automotive.
"The event was a great success on many fronts," said Mike Bradshaw, director of the Wonderware VAR/OEM business. "Wonderware's new VAR/OEM support offerings were received with enthusiasm and the upcoming new product releases will provide VAR and OEM customers with a definite competitive edge in their respective marketplaces. Wonderware received positive feedback from participants which we will take into consideration in planning the 2008 Wonderware VAR/OEM Summit. Overall, participants surveyed by Wonderware found the information presented to be extremely helpful to their business objectives for implementing Wonderware applications."
In addition to Wonderware's industry expert speakers, the summit, held from June 25 to 27, featured customer representatives from Yamatake, GlaxoSmithKline's Plant and Enterprise Strategy Group as well as from ISA's Make2Pack standards group.
"The week's events sparked many ideas for re-evaluation of our current and future use of Wonderware products," said Mark Chrismer, controls engineer from FKI Logistics, a Wonderware OEM attending the event. "With the innovative products that are coming from Wonderware, I can tell you that I would not want to be a Wonderware competitor at this time."
The Wonderware VAR/OEM Summit was provided as part of the benefits package Wonderware offers to its Premier and Associate level VAR and OEM customers.
