Leading electrical/I&C engineering and integration firms join forces

PHOENIX, MAY 16, 2007 -- DL Engineering & Controls Inc. and TMV Systems Engineering Inc. today announced that the two companies have joined forces to become one of the largest electrical engineering firms in the Southwest. Both companies provide electrical engineering, instrumentation and control system design, construction management, and integration and support services to clients in the industrial and public and private water utility markets. The new name for the company moving forward will be DLT&V Systems Engineering Inc. Brian Downing , P.E., president and chief executive officer of DL Engineering & Controls Inc., will continue in that role. Other members of the ownership/executive leadership team include Christopher Lynch, vice president and chief financial officer; Melinda Tam , P.E., vice president and chief operating officer; and Samuel Vandivort, vice president and chief administration officer.

The two companies have very similar cultures and both value the importance of innovation in solving technical challenges to bring the right solutions to their customers. This union represents not only a joining of two well-known companies, but also an integration of the knowledge, experience, expertise and resources needed to serve a diverse client base. The new company will have close to 100 employees and 75 technical personnel in engineering design, construction management and programming roles. It is a combination of two companies both known for providing exceptional technical expertise and customer service, which will offer clients and partners even greater value.

The new company will have two offices in Phoenix, Ariz., as well as offices in Irvine, Calif.; Oceanside, Calif.; and Las Vegas, Nevada.

All current employees have transferred to the new company, thereby keeping intact the full range of skills and the competencies of the present teams. According to Melinda Tam , P.E., vice president and chief operating officer, "The combination of engineering resources greatly strengthens our position as a continued technology innovator and leader in the industry. This will bring valuable additional dimensions to the already strong core capabilities of both companies."

DLT&V Systems Engineering Inc. will continue to offer a total package solution for electrical engineering, process control, industrial automation, construction management, system integration and technical support services to their municipal, utility and industrial clients.

For 2006, DL Engineering & Controls Inc. (DLEC) was named one of the Top 40 electrical design firms by EC&M Magazine, was a Finalist for the Control Engineering Magazine System Integrator of the Year, and was named as one of 50 Arizona Companies to Watch by the Arizona Small Business Administration and the Edward Lowe Foundation. DLEC specializes in industrial facility electrical design, construction management services, and integration and support services, with a major focus in the water and wastewater industry.

TMV Systems Engineering Inc. (TMV) provides power and automation system design services, control panel fabrication, and integration and technical support services for the water/wastewater, transportation and manufacturing industries. The company is based in Phoenix, with an additional office in Oceanside, Calif., and provides services throughout the Southwest.
