• Company finishes with highest total number of awards in the 2006 competition for innovative industrial devices
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 3, 2007 -- As an indication of wider acceptance of PC-based controls and New Automation Technology, Beckhoff Automation has won three prestigious Engineers' Choice awards from the readers of Control Engineering magazine.
Revealed in April, 2007, the winning Beckhoff products were the C69xx series of Industrial PCs, the CX1020 Embedded PC and the BK9105 EtherNet/IP Bus Coupler.
With these three wins, Beckhoff Automation won more product awards than any other company in the competition for industrial products released in 2006. Two companies had two product award wins each and 33 other companies had one winning product. Over 700 Control Engineering magazine readers voted online in several different product categories to decide which industrial products were "the most exceptional or noteworthy based on technological advancement (innovation), service to the industry (usefulness), and/or market impact (I would buy it tomorrow if I could)."
"I am equally honored and excited that Control Engineering readers recognized so many Beckhoff Automation products as innovative and significant to their industry," said Graham Harris, President, Beckhoff Automation. "Beckhoff has always pushed the envelope of new technologies to provide the most advanced and useful automation solutions at a fair price. These awards will help add even more fuel to the fire of Beckhoff's continued research and product development -- we won't just say our thanks to the industry, we'll show it."
