HOUSTON, TX, May 1, 2007 -- John Simonson has been promoted to Sales Division Manager by HOBAS Pipe USA. HOBAS is the leading manufacturer of centrifugally cast, fiberglass reinforced, polymer mortar pipe systems.
In this newly created position, Simonson will expand the HOBAS technical education program to respond to the emerging demand for assistance and training in fiberglass pipe design, application and installation requirements.
He will utilize his more than 25 years of experience in construction, trenchless rehabilitation, tunneling and project management to communicate HOBAS' unique benefits to the municipal, engineering and contracting communities. Corrosion resistant HOBAS pipe is manufactured in diameters from 18 inches to 110 inches in pressure and non-pressure classes.
He is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Houston Contractors Association (HCA), the Greater Austin Contractors and Engineers Association (ACEA) and the Gulf Coast Trenchless Association (GCTA).
