CRYSTAL CITY, TX, May 8, 2007 -- Ecoloclean Industries Inc. announced that a workshop featuring its tabletop Electrocoagulation Unit was held on April 27, 2007 at the Starcross National Laboratory, Exeter England. Ecoloclean's representative in England, Sivex, Ltd., conducted this workshop, which was attended by 16 technicians, representing 4 UK entities that are currently experiencing contaminated water problems.
Contaminated water samples from these 4 individual sources were delivered to the laboratory for treatment. Included among them was a sample from the Wheal Jane Mine, Cornwall, England, which has a problem that is biologically similar to that of the South Crofty Mine, the site where Ecoloclean's first UK unit is to be installed. One of the other samples came from the Southwest Sewer Plants.
Representatives from the Coastal Protection Agency had the opportunity to witness the treatment of contaminated water from the discharges and they believe that this treatment can be introduced to treat discharges from cruise ships at bays and offshore waters.
Prior to treatment of the various samples of contaminated water, analyzed samples were taken to identify the contaminants. After treatment, further analysis was made to see what effect the Electrocoagulation Process had in removing the contaminants. With respect to the sewer discharge water, pre-treatment reading of total Coliform was in the range of 40,000,000 units/100 mL and 1,891,000 units/100 mL Strreptococci. After treatment with the Electrocoagulation unit, both Streptococci and Coliform were non-detectable.
Sivex's representatives reported to Ecoloclean Industries Inc.'s management that all individuals attending the workshop were extremely impressed with the tests. Copies of the water analyses, which were furnished to Ecoloclean by email, confirm that the tests were successful. Sivex's representatives expressed the belief that they will be acquiring new contracts for Electrocoagulation Units with at least 2 of the entities whose representatives were present at the workshop, and that requests for other additional units are anticipated.
Royis Ward, President and CEO of Ecoloclean Industries Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ECCI), stated that the company is eager to meet UK demand for Electrocoagulation Units, and that construction of the units can commence promptly once financing is in place. The main focus currently is to finish the EC Unit that is being finalized for shipment to the United Kingdom on May 22, 2007. Cargo space has been reserved for that date and the EC unit should arrive in the UK approximately 3 weeks after it is placed aboard ship. Upon its arrival, this unit has been committed to the South Crofty Mine Project.
Ecoloclean Industries Inc. is the owner of two wholly owned subsidiaries: Ecoloclean Inc. and World Environmental Technologies Inc. which utilize various remediation techniques and technologies.
