METUCHEN, NJ, Feb. 9, 2007 -- Charter Machine Company (CMC) yesterday formally launched a line of self-branded biosolids processing equipment for the wastewater industry, following its acquisition of rights to biosolids dewatering equipment from Roediger Pittsburgh Inc., a respected leader in biosolid processing.

The company has been manufacturing and servicing the equipment for years under contract for the recently defunct Roediger Pittsburgh Inc. As of Sept. 14, 2006, CMC completed the purchase of all patents and intellectual property owned by Roediger Pittsburgh and began manufacturing sludge processing equipment under their own brand.

"When Roediger Pittsburgh closed, we saw a tremendous opportunity for Charter Machine Company to fill the void that had been created. One leader was gone, so a new leader stepped in," said Walter Kuehnrich, president of Charter Machine. "Having built and serviced these machines for years, we have an intimate knowledge of the industry and the technology."

Charter Machine Company offers a complete line of biosolids processing solutions that includes the Tower Press™, the TP7.4 Tower Press, the Regent Press 15 Roll, the Three Belt Combination Units, a Post Lime Treatment Module, Horizontal Belt Filter Press Units, the Roedos® Polymer System, the Roefilt® Sieve Drum Concentrator, Gravity Belt Thickeners and the CMC Sludge Bagger, as well as custom manufactured conveyor systems and control panels.

With the launch of the biosolids division, Charter Machine Company has set a clear business objective. "Our goal is to become the premier supplier of dewatering equipment," states Kuehnrich, " in some ways we already are. People just don't know it yet."

Located in Metuchen NJ, since 1968, Charter Machine Company (www.chartermachine.com) is a full service manufacturer and machining firm that primarily serves the printing and biosolids industries along with contracted work for general machining, grinding, welding, fabricating and assembly.
