DUISBURG, Germany, Feb. 9, 2007 -- Shimadzu, one of the world leaders in analytical instrumentation, is completing its European business restructuring process step by step and focusing on establishing independent companies in major markets and countries all over Europe. This structure forms part of the "Strategy of the Future" formulated in 2004 in order to better support new trends and markets.
As of Jan. 1, Shimadzu Deutschland GmbH will be integrated into the European business structure. Local subsidiaries all over Europe will benefit from this process. They will have more freedom to better adjust their business processes to customer requirements and markets.
