Vehicle tracking provider DigiCore secures new contract with Southern Water

LONDON, United Kingdom, Feb. 19, 2007 (NewswireToday) -- Vehicle tracking provider DigiCore has been selected by Southern Water, the water and wastewater company serving more than two million households in the South East of England, to develop and install a telematics-based tracking system across 520 vans within its vehicle fleet. Vehicle tracking is expected to become an essential element of Southern Waters' operational management process, contributing to greater fleet efficiency and enhanced control of mobile assets and workforce. The system will optimise job allocation and streamline workflow, allowing the company to reduce unnecessary vehicle mileage and react quicker to customer needs.

The functionality and flexibility of C-track has provided Southern Water with the ability to link the vehicle tracking system to other third-party back office systems. The ability of the server-based operating software to integrate with other technology such as scheduling and management systems will enable Southern Water to enhance its existing key performance indicators (KPI) reporting structure.
