CLINTON, Conn., March 31, 2004 -- Connecticut Water Service Inc.'s largest subsidiary, The Connecticut Water Co., is ranked #1 for the second straight year by the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control's Consumer Service Complaint Scorecard for water utilities.
The Scorecard is a reflection of customer satisfaction and is based on the number of consumer complaints filed with the DPUC during 2003.
According to Marshall T. Chiaraluce, President and CEO, finishing at the top of the DPUC Scorecard for two consecutive years reflects the Company's commitment to providing quality water and service. He adds, "Topping the DPUC Scorecards tells us that we are meeting customer expectations for fast, friendly, and accurate service."
The DPUC Consumer Complaint Scorecard is based on the number of customer complaints regarding high bills, billing disputes, termination of service, payment arrangements, quality of service and outages received by the DPUC per 100,000 customers.
