INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 18, 2004 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) -- Great Lakes Chemical Corp. announced that its BioLab Water Additives division will increase prices for its industrial water additives products on a global basis.
Prices will increase 6-9% on selected lines of industrial water treatment additives, effective Jan. 1, 2005, or as contracts permit. These products include Belclene®, Belsperse®, Belcor®, Bellasol®, Belgard® and Flocon® polymeric and phosphonate antiscalants and corrosion inhibitors. At the same time, prices for bromine-based biocide products will increase by 8 to 12 percent for BromiCide® and by 6 to 8 cents per pound for LiquiBrom®.
The new pricing is necessary due to the continued, unprecedented increases in costs of key raw materials and energy products, and availability concerns for certain key feed stocks due to exceptional global demand.
