HARLEYSVILLE, PA, Sept. 14, 2004 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) -- Raymond J. De Hont, chairman and CEO of Met-Pro Corp., reported that its Fybroc Division, in Telford, PA, received an order to supply a total of 36 corrosion-resistant, fiberglass centrifugal pumps to be installed at a major wastewater treatment plant now under construction in Singapore.

The total value of this order is approximately $600,000.

These pumps will be included in the second phase of construction at the wastewater treatment plant, a project which will span a period of several years. Fybroc also supplied six pumps, valued at approximately $60,000, for use in phase one of the project. They were shipped in February 2004.

The Fybroc 1500 Series horizontal pumps included in this order range in size from 1,500 gpm to 4,100 gpm. They will be utilized for circulation of a variety of chemicals, including sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite, that will be used by the wastewater treatment facility's odor control scrubbers. The majority of the pumps are scheduled to be delivered between November 2004 and May 2005. The final shipment of pumps is expected to be made in February 2006.

Fybroc, the world leader in the design and manufacture of fiberglass- reinforced thermoset plastic pumps for corrosive and other difficult liquids, was selected for this project based on their extensive experience in this field.

"The receipt of this order validates Fybroc's position as a leading supplier of corrosion-resistant chemical pumps around the world," stated De Hont. "Fybroc's success in this market, combined with their reputation as the leading supplier of seawater pumps to public aquariums worldwide, give us continued optimism for more orders of this type at Fybroc."
