NAPERVILLE, IL, Sept. 27, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nalco Company was to increase prices for specialty chemicals sold to paper industry customers, effective Oct. 1 for non-contract customers and effective Nov. 1 for contract customers. The price increases will range from 5-10% for most products, with more significant adjustments for silicone-based materials.

The price increase is driven by continued significant increases in cost of raw materials, energy and freight, and applies in addition to the price adjustments announced in June. Nalco's Paper Services Account Managers will contact individual customers regarding this increase.
