HOLLISTON, MA, Dec. 14, 2004 -- Iwaki America Inc. has implemented Iwaki Pump Selector, a Pump-Flo Enterprise Software, to streamline the pump selection process for its distributors and customers.

Iwaki America, a leader in chemical handling equipment for use in Process, O.E.M., Industrial and Semiconductor applications, has deployed "Iwaki Pump Selector" to provide its global network of customers and distributors with an advanced software program to save time and increase efficiencies during the pump sizing and selection process.

"We are continuously looking for ways to create the best possible experience for our distributors and customers," said Michelle Fontaine, Marketing Communications Manager for Iwaki America. "Implementing Iwaki Pump Selector software allows us to create significant value for our customers and distributors by simplifying and streamlining the process of learning about, selecting, and purchasing our products."

Users of the Iwaki Pump Selector software can select, evaluate, and analyze centrifugal pumps using Iwaki America's electronic pump catalogs. Iwaki Pump Selector uses a powerful web-based search engine to select pumps that meet the user's specific criteria. Selections are based on a number of user inputs such as system design point, fluid properties, motor sizing, and NPSH calculations. Once a dynamic pump curve is generated, users have the ability to trim impeller diameters, adjust operating speeds, and view/save electronic curves and data sheet reports in a PDF format. Supporting documentation such as product specifications, dimensional drawings, cutaway views and engineering specifications can also be generated.

The software can be used dynamically on the website or software can be downloaded onto a user's computer at no charge. The program CD can also be requested from Iwaki America at no charge. Other powerful features include a Total Head Calculator and the ability to send electronic "Request for Quote" packages directly to Iwaki America's sales office.
