Pittsburgh, Pa., April 16, 2004 -- Underground Solutions Inc. announced that it has received the "Innovative Product of the Year Award" for its Fusible PVC™ from the North American Society for Trenchless Technology.
Each year, NASTT recognizes the company that has the year's most innovative product. Underground Solutions received the NASTT Innovative Product Award at the 2004 No-Dig Show in New Orleans for its Fusible PVC™ pipe.
The market for this product in trenchless includes directional drilling, sliplining, and pipe bursting. More than a dozen companies submitted applications in 2004, which suggests that this year's recipients were in an extremely competitive arena. As the Rehabilitation winner, Underground Solutions was formally recognized at the NASTT No-Dig Show Gala Awards Dinner on March 23, 2004.
In addition, they will be recognized on the official website for NASTT, as well as coverage in Trenchless Technology magazine, and a free exhibit booth space at No-Dig 2005."
NASTT is the North American Society for Trenchless Technology. It is a multiple disciplinary society of individuals and organizations with professional, utilitarian or environmental interests in Trenchless Technology. It was founded and incorporated as a non-profit organization in June 1990.
It is affiliated with the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) and shares the same basic concerns for the environmental and social costs of utilities trenching. Their purpose is to advance the science and practice of Trenchless Technology for the public benefit; to develop standards; to promote education, training, research, development and information; and to promulgate through public forums the improvements and status of Trenchless Technology.
Fusible C900™ and Fusible C905™ PVC are two new patent-pending products recently developed and introduced by Underground Solutions. Both products are NSF-61 certified and cover a full range of piping diameters from 4 inch to 48 inch to provide the only available method of installing a continuous, monolithic, gasket-free PVC pipe or conduit capable of being used in numerous trenchless (no-dig) or conventional "open-cut" applications.
Applications for this revolutionary technology cover every aspect of piping installations including both pressure and non-pressure situations in the water, sewer, electrical, industrial and telecommunications industries.
