Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Haestad Methods, a provider of water resources modeling software.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 20, 2004 -- Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Haestad Methods, a provider of water resources modeling software.

Under the terms of the agreement, Intergraph and Haestad Methods will jointly market and support an integrated hydraulic analysis solution consisting of Intergraph's GeoMedia® technology and Haestad's WaterObjects®, an object-oriented application Software Development Kit (SDK).

Intergraph is currently developing an interface to seamlessly link the sophisticated spatial data management functionality of GeoMedia technology with WaterObjects' world-class water distribution modeling capabilities.

This new GIS hydraulic analysis solution will allow users to build and analyze hydraulic models within the GeoMedia environment, giving users the unique capability to dynamically visualize modifications to modeling scenarios. With this solution, users will be able to maintain their infrastructure data in one location and perform analysis directly with this data.

The solution will give local governments and public works agencies unprecedented, dynamic visualization and data integration capabilities that will enhance infrastructure management productivity. Engineering, planning and operations professionals can use the technology to maintain a central data repository, thus eliminating timely GIS data exports and conversions as well as the worries of locating the most up-to-date information.

Intergraph will demonstrate this new solution at the upcoming GeoSpatial World 2004 Conference (www.geospatialworld.com), May 12 - 14 in Miami Beach, Fla.

"We're extremely excited Intergraph has chosen to partner with us to provide users with seamless access to their data," said Jack Cook, Vice President Applied Technologies for Haestad Methods. "With WaterObjects' open, flexible programming environment, Intergraph users will benefit from WaterCAD's® unique water distribution modeling capabilities."

"Intergraph continually looks for ways to help customers optimize and streamline the use of their enterprise data," said Mark Doherty, Executive Director, Global Government Solutions, Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions. "By pairing market-leading technology for hydraulic modeling and geospatial data analysis and management, local governments and agencies can maximize the value of their data that is maintained for infrastructure management."
