Alan Lee

Alan Lee has been the Capital Projects Manager of Opelika Utilities since 1995. He is a lifelong resident of Opelika, Alabama. Alan’s primary responsibilities are to manage all capital improvement projects including design, project administration, and construction. Alan is also responsible for developing their GIS system, with conversion of paper based maps to rich digital data. Today, Opelika Utilities has developed one of the most advanced GIS systems for a utility of its size. Alan has been an advocate of GIS in his community, encouraging data sharing within the city government and the public as well.
