The National Water Research Institute (NWRI), a 501c3 nonprofit, announced that it’s accepting nominations = for the 2021 Clarke Prize, awarded for outstanding achievement in water science and technology. NWRI administers the $50,000 prize offered by the Joan Irvine Smith and Athalie Richardson Irvine Clarke Foundation. Nominations must be received by August 27, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. The award will be presented on October 28, 2021.
The Clarke Prize is awarded annually to thought leaders in water research, science, technology, or policy. Clarke Prize nominees and laureates are from wide-ranging disciplines including civil and environmental engineering, water science, biological science, health science, political science, physical and chemical science, and public policy. Nominees must work in the United States or have a significant body of work within the United States. The International Congress of Distinguished Awards distinguishes the Clarke Prize as one of the most prestigious water awards in the world.
