Oxford Flow (OFUI), a flow control equipment designer, today announced an investment from GF Piping Systems to support OFUI’s growth plans.
The investment, of an undisclosed amount that OFUI calls "significant," will drive the expansion of the company's operations globally and focus on product development. The company is advancing its portfolio of intelligent technology and developing its first intelligent valve to help water networks to remotely track and and control operations.
This announcement follows the company’s major business milestones over the last 18 months, after GF Piping Systems’ initial investment into Oxford Flow in March 2020. Key milestones included broadening market acceptance of the company’s product, better manufacturing processes and a number of successful patents in Europe and the USA.
Jens Frisenborg, Head of BU Industry at GF Piping Systems said: “We are pleased with the success of the first 18 months of our partnership with OFUI. The further investment will help propel the pressure regulating valve technology forward even further, addressing a key customer requirement as we strive to solve water loss for life within water distribution networks.”
OFUI is based in Oxford, employing around 20 individuals.
