MOUNT PLEASANT, SC, & TORONTO, Canada, March 17, 2005 -- When Mount Pleasant Waterworks went live with CIS Infinity®, chief financial officer Ed Pierce felt it was too early to declare the project a success.

"After a successful go-live on new software, there is understandably a huge sense of accomplishment. But experience has taught me that real success is measured by the first six months that the system is in use in a live environment and the pressure is on."

Six months have now gone by and Pierce is ready to release his verdict: "I'm happy to report that I'm extremely satisfied with the decision to implement CIS Infinity. In terms of staff efficiency and customer service, our long-term picture is better than ever."

In September 2004, Mount Pleasant Waterworks completed its nine-month implementation of CIS Infinity, the customer information and billing solution offered by Advanced Utility Systems. The need for a new system was underscored by the inefficiency of their legacy system when managing the many and varied services offered by Mount Pleasant.

Pierce continues, "We're growing quickly, at a rate of about 1,000 accounts each year. We had simply outgrown our old system, and Advanced proposed the best and most flexible option to manage our growth."

Kathryn McKay, Advanced's vice president of client services, credits the enthusiasm of the Mount Pleasant project team: "Under the leadership of Brian Head, project manager for Mount Pleasant, the project team worked diligently and demonstrated their confidence in CIS Infinity. Their commitment to the success of the project was a definite asset to the project's outcome and to Mount Pleasant's ongoing satisfaction in the months after going live with CIS Infinity."

Mount Pleasant Waterworks has a customer base of 25,000 accounts, and offers a wide range of services including water, waste water, and irrigation.
