NEW YORK, AUGUST 8, 2016-- Phigenics, a company that provides defensible water management programs to facility owners and managers, has received New York State Dept of Health ELAP approval for its Legionella laboratory testing services. With this approval, Phigenics is recognized as a New York State Dept of Health ELAP-approved laboratory and can help facility managers and owners achieve compliance for New York State Department of Health and New York City Health Department regulations for "Protection Against Legionella" for cooling towers. The Phigenics laboratory is also CDC ELITE-certified for Legionella testing.

Phigenics does not sell water treatment chemicals and therefore is able to provide independent validation and verification that cooling towers are operating safely and efficiently. A Phigenics water management program includes defensible documentation, plus accompanying data management and analytical services, which meet NY State Dept of Health regulations regarding the development and implementation of water management programs. Water management programs help to ensure a safe environment for employees and guests and minimize organizational liability and exposure to unanticipated financial outlay.
