Of particular interest to IWW readers are presentations related to water/wastewater in the brewing process, like “We All Brew in Someone Else’s Backyard: Developing a Productive Partnership with Your Water and Wastewater Providers,” presented by Brandon Smith, engineering manager at Sierra Nevada Brewing; and “Sustainability 101 and a Success Story: Cashing In on Resource Efficiency,” presented by Kaitlin Urso, an environmental consultant with the Colo. Dept. of Public Health and Environment, and Erin Cox, quality assurance manager and lead sustainability coordinator for Great Divide Brewing.
The opening keynote will be delivered by Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of Iron Maiden, a commercial pilot, brewmaster, and entrepreneur. He will share the parallels between his music and business careers, and the lessons you can take away from both success and failure.
