CH2M Hill receives Singapore Regional Headquarters Award

Colorado-based CH2M Hill, a global full-service engineering and construction firm announced June 16 it received the prestigious Regional Headquarters Award from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). CH2M Hill has been in Singapore for 10 years, serving as its regional headquarters to support its expansion plans in the region. DENVER, June 20, 2006 -- Colorado-based CH2M Hill, a global full-service engineering and construction firm announced June 16 it received the prestigious Regional Headquarters Award from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). For 10 years, the company has been in Singapor, serving as its regional headquarters to support its expansion plans in the region. It aims to double its Singapore staff to more than 300 over the next five years.

CH2M Hill's proposed expansion here is also a strong testament to Singapore's key attributes such as our pro-business environment, skilled workforce and connectivity with the region."

Said Mr Khoo Teng Chye, chief executive of PUB, Singapore's national water agency, "CH2M Hill has been involved in many of PUB's key projects such as the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System and the Changi Water Reclamation Plant. They have also recently been appointed as one of the watershed managers for PUB's Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters or ABC Waters program. We are pleased that the company has now decided to make Singapore its regional headquarters. This will certainly open up more opportunities for their collaboration with local water companies, thus increasing the vibrancy of the water industry in Singapore and bringing us closer to our aim of becoming a global hydrohub."

From the Singapore office, over 160 CH2M Hill staff deliver full project delivery and consulting services in water, transportation, chemicals, energy, communications, electronics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, power, government facilities and infrastructure, environmental, and nuclear. Current projects include serving as program manager for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant, one of the world's largest wastewater treatment plants, and providing design and construction services to several confidential industrial clients.

The EDB is Singapore's lead agency responsible for planning and executing strategies to sustain Singapore's position as a compelling global hub for business and investment.
