CHENNAI, India – Indian water engineering company VA Tech Wabag has secured a US$108 million project to provide the Polgahawela Water Treatment Plant in Sri Lanka.
Funded by the Exim Bank of India, the project will be completed for the Water Board of Sri Lanka and includes the design, construction, testing and commissioning of an Integrated Water Supply Scheme for Polgahawela and adjoining areas.
This is Wabag’s second order in the country and has helped contribute to FY2016 orders for the company worth INR 5,000 Crores (US$751.5m).
