MWH Treatment awarded Southern Water AMP7 contract

MWH Treatment and its joint venture partner Costain will continue their work to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water and wastewater treatment facilities over the next five years.

UNITED KINGDOM, OCT 19, 2019 -- Costain, the smart infrastructure solutions company, and its existing joint venture partner MWH Treatment, have been selected by Southern Water to extend its current AMP6 contract as part of the water company’s AMP7 investment program.

Together, MWH Treatment and Costain will use their full range of expertise to continue to design and build innovative and cost-effective solutions, as part of Southern Water’s multi-billion pound 2020-2025 business plan.

Paul Bresnan, Managing Director, MWH Treatment, said: “We’re delighted to be able to continue our partnership with Southern Water into AMP7. Pending final determination of Southern Water’s business plan, this initial contract is worth approximately £325 million to the joint venture in an equal share over the five-year period.
