SACRAMENTO, CA, Aug. 15, 2005 (PRNewswire) -- Jones & Stokes is pleased to announce that Lea G. Adams, P.E., has joined their staff as a Senior Water Resources Engineer.

"Lea will give Jones & Stokes added strength to our Water Resources team, enabling us to provide our clients with additional capabilities in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling," said Steve Centerwall, Regional Operations Leader for Jones & Stokes.

Jones & Stokes provides a broad range of environmental services to clients. Services include biological and cultural resources analysis, habitat conservation planning, hydrology and hydraulics, environmental constraints, pre-application planning, ecosystem restoration services, and a variety of natural resources-related permitting and regulatory assistance.

Adams has completed numerous hydrologic and riverine engineering studies, and brings extensive capabilities in surface water modeling and project management to her new position with Jones & Stokes. Recent work has included a number of challenging FEMA floodplain studies in Northern California and Washington, as well as projects in Lake Tahoe and the Bay Area. Prior to her re-location from Seattle to Sacramento in 2001, Adams worked on riverine and hydroelectric dam-related studies in the Pacific Northwest.

Adams received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from U.C. Davis and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. She is a registered professional engineer in California and Washington, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
