Envirosight acquires, upgrades QuickView product line
Feb. 13, 2004 -- In a sign of continued growth and commitment to the video pipeline inspection market, Envirosight has recently announced acquiring the patented QuickView product line from OEM supplier Everest VIT of Flanders, NJ.
QuickView, a pole-mounted zoom camera with lights, is the tool of choice among contractors and municipal personnel for video inspection of mainlines, manholes, septic tanks, vessels and other confined spaces. To mark the occasion, Envirosight announced two major QuickView enhancements:
* A 216:1 zoom camera that sees 150' down lines 8" and larger, and
* An optional high-powered auxiliary lamp set that casts enough light to see 250'.
"We couldn't have done this without the support of our customers, who continually rave about QuickView's ability to capture detailed footage from confined spaces," said Rich Lindner, President of Envirosight. "QuickView is a cost-effective alternative to hazardous confined-space entry and a complement to sewer and storm line CCTV and cleaning operations."
The portable, battery-operated QuickView extends 18', submerges 28' and can be manually tilted and centered for precision viewing of lines 8" to 60" dia. Integral spot and flood lamps optimally illuminate targets both near and far. Belt-mounted controls grant ready access to zoom and illumination intensity. QuickView carries a one-year warranty and its armored cable is guaranteed for life (unless cut).
"We were excited to acquire the line. We immediately retooled it with the supercharged 216:1 zoom camera and ultra-bright auxiliary illumination," Lindner continued. "Now a customer can see even farther down mainlines, gathering critical data needed to manage CCTV, cleaning and rehab projects."
"In 2003, the environmental market showed unprecedented demand for QuickView's unique zoom inspection capability," said Bruce Pellegrino, President of Everest VIT. "As the exclusive reseller in that market, Envirosight did tremendous work bringing the product to municipal workers and contractors, and communicating their needs back to our product development team. Now with Envirosight the owner, QuickView can only evolve faster in response to new inspection methods and techniques. Best of all, our customers will benefit from these advancements since we remain the exclusive QuickView reseller in industrial markets."
QuickView's proprietary use of zoom camera technology for manhole inspection is protected by U.S. Patent No. 6,538,732, of which Envirosight now becomes the steward. And as the only authorized source for this technology, Envirosight remains committed to continuing QuickView's history of innovation.
