ANDOVER, Hampshire, UK, June 24, 2008 -- The industry-leading Wolseley Sustainable Building Center will be featuring Titan Pollution Control's Envireau system as its showcase product for rainwater harvesting.

The pioneering Center in Leamington Spa has been developed by Wolseley to demonstrate the range of green and sustainable products that are available across its network of stores.

The Envireau system that has been selected collects rainwater from the roof, filters out leaves and debris, and stores it in a 3,000 litre underground tank. Water is drawn off via a silent running pump, passing through a series of filters and can be used typically for a range of non-potable functions - in this instance, flushing the toilets.

When the stored water is not available, the system automatically switches to mains water, thereby ensuring a constant supply of water is maintained without intervention from the user.

Darren Crane, UK Sales Manager for Titan Pollution Control, says: "We're delighted that Envireau was selected to be part of such a ground-breaking initiative for the merchant sector.

"The construction industry as a whole is rapidly gearing up towards a greater focus on greener products and rainwater harvesting, and it is very much to Wolseley's credit that they have made this major investment to highlight what is already commercially available.

Tim Pollard, Wolseley UK's Head of Sustainability, said: "This is a building with real integrity, and the care that went into the choice of products, such as Envireau, reflects this.

"Rainwater harvesting is very much on the new-build agenda, because of the requirement to reduce household consumption of mains water in line with the Government's Code for Sustainable Homes. Envireau is easy to install and can reduce mains water consumption by more than a third at a stroke."

Envireau systems are approved by the British Board of Agreement (BBA), and are available nationwide via the Titan network of supporting builders merchants. Details are available on our website http://www.titanpc.co.uk or by calling 01264 353 222.

Titan Pollution Control is part of the Kingspan Group Environmental division, operating principally in the UK in domestic and commercial sewage treatment and rainwater harvesting systems.
