HDR acquires companies in Calif., Texas -- OMAHA, NE, Jan. 10, 2006 -- HDR Engineering Inc., a leading architecture-engineering-consulting firm, has acquired Surface Water Resources Inc. (SWRI), an environmental and engineering consulting firm based in Sacramento, Calif. It also announced the purchase of Shiner Moseley and Associates Inc., an engineering and environmental consulting firm based in Corpus Christi, Texas. Sheboygan, Wis., engineer to acquire tradition-rich Chicago firm -- SHEBOYGAN, WI, Jan. 10, 2006 -- The Midwest engineering firm Donohue & Associates Inc. is acquiring Alvord, Burdick & Howson, L.L.C. (AB&H), a Chicago-based water and wastewater engineering firm for more than 100 years. Based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Donohue & Associates is acquiring AB&H as part of a strategic plan to increase the firm's Midwest presence by elevating its planning and design capabilities in water treatment and distribution systems and large wastewater collection systems. FilmTec Corp. expansion on target for production in 2006 --
MIDLAND, MI, Jan. 10, 2006 -- Construction of a new Edina, Minn., manufacturing facility started in 2004 for FilmTec Corp., a subsidiary of Dow Chemical, is on target for completion within 2006.
