BRIDGEPORT, NJ, Feb. 19, 2004 -- Godwin Pumps announced the promotion of Andy Pigott to Regional Manager, Godwin Pumps, Virginia. Previously, Pigott was branch manager, Godwin Pumps Virginia Beach office. As regional manager, Pigott will oversee the Virginia Beach and Richmond rental branch offices for Godwin.

In 1991, Pigott started his construction career with Tidewater Construction in Norfolk, Virginia as a purchasing agent. While working at Tidewater Construction, Pigott rented and purchased various types of equipment for construction sites in the Norfolk area.

In 1996, Pigott left Tidewater Construction to work in the sales department of J.W. Burress Inc., a Norfolk, Virginia-based heavy equipment dealer. Pigott made his move to Godwin's Virginia Beach location in May 1998 as a sales engineer and was promoted to Branch Manager two years later.

A Chesapeake Virginia resident, Pigott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in finance from Virginia Tech University. He is a member of Hampton Roads Utility and Heavy Construction Association, as well as the Virginia Builders and Contractors Exchange.
