August 17, 2001, Sterling, VA---Sutron Corporation's multi-year investment in SatLink, its GOES Satellite High Data Rate Transmitter, has paid off with the second large order of the year from the Hydrological Instrumentation Facility division of the USGS.
This $493,745 contract is expected to be followed in the fourth quarter of 2001 with yet another contract of greater value.
Sutron is a supplier of real-time environmental remote monitoring and control systems to several Federal Agencies, including the National Ocean Service, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the National Weather Service.
