STERLING, VA, September 4, 2001 — Environmental monitoring systems manufacturer Sutron Corporation said its August 2001 bookings exceeded $1,329,000, up sharply from the previous year.

The sales performance coincides with introduction of Sutron's new product, Xpert. With virtually an unlimited number of inputs, Xpert represents a leap in datalogger computing power from its previous versions. Xpert is used for remote monitoring and control, especially in extreme climates and locations, since real-time data collected by a single Xpert in the field can be accessed simultaneously from a variety of locations (i.e., a primary PC in an office, a laptop PC enroute, and/or over the internet).

For 26 years Sutron has designed and manufactured communications equipment that operates unattended for months at a time in remote, inhospitable places, under the most extreme environmental conditions on the planet.
