BARRINGTON, IL, March 17, 2008 -- What role does odor control play in operating a green municipal or industrial facility? "More than many realize," answers Charles Timcik of OMI Industries, maker of Ecosorb® odor control solutions and the Ecosorb® Vapor Phase™ nebulizer.

With the fast-growing interest in earth friendly practices, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification standards put forth by the United States Green Building Council are taking on greater importance to facilities large and small. According to Timcik, the Ecosorb Vapor Phase nebulizer for odor control can help a number of industries with many aspects of LEED certification, including requirements for water efficiency, energy/atmosphere and indoor environmental quality.

"Unlike the commonly used odor control atomizers that require significant amounts of water, the Ecosorb Vapor Phase nebulizer uses no water. Being waterless helps a facility make huge strides towards achieving LEED certification," Said Timcik, who added. "Couple that with the fact that Ecosorb formulations are made entirely of natural, renewable resources that scientifically neutralize organic and inorganic malodors, and you end up with an odor control system that's extremely attractive to anyone aspiring to meet LEED standards."

The Ecosorb Vapor Phase nebulizer is a self-contained unit that disperses Ecosorb odor control formulas through a distribution pipe via spaced outlets at a rate of 450 to 1,200 cubic feet per minute, thus creating a "dry" mist that neutralizes odors. Already a popular choice with wastewater, solid waste and a host of other facilities, the Ecosorb Vapor Phase, used in tandem with Ecosorb products, could very well represent a new "green" wave for odor management technology.
