ELLICOT CITY, MD, Feb. 28, 2006 -- The Center for Watershed Protection (CWP) will be a presenter at National River Rally 2006. The event will be held May 5-9 in Bretton Woods, NH, at the Mount Washington Hotel.
The rally is hosted by Portland, OR-based River Network to help grassroots groups harness the power of citizen involvement to protect rivers and build healthier communities and watersheds. It brings together hundreds of friends of rivers, water keepers, monitors, watchdogs, stewards, guardians and others involved in watershed protection and restoration..
Join CWP at River Rally for a special mini-Watershed Institue, a track focusing on various field and desktop methods for watershed assessment. It will cover CWP's basic suite of field methods including the USA, USSR, and retrofit inventory, and introduce some new training modules on estimating pollutant loads, developing a local wetland inventory, and conducting a leaf out analysis. The track also will include extended office hours to provide more one-on-one time with individual attendees.
