Third DuPont contract worth up to $80M to URS

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 4, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) URS Corp. has been awarded a third contract by DuPont to continue to provide long-term environmental, remediation and construction services. The five-year outsourcing agreement extends an alliance that began in 1998, under which URS provides project management and implementation services primarily for the DuPont Corporate Remediation Group. The new agreement has a maximum value of $80 million to URS and follows about $100 million for the previous seven years of the alliance.

URS works in an alliance partnership with DuPont to provide a full complement of environmental support services. These services range from site assessment and feasibility studies, remediation design and construction management to facility operations and maintenance, long-term monitoring, due diligence on property transfers, permitting and regulatory compliance, and information technology for environmental applications. The alliance team consists of more than 140 URS dedicated employees located at 15 DuPont facilities.
