SYRACUSE, NY, Dec. 13, 2004 (PRNewswire) -- To serve a growing client base in Upstate New York, ENSR International, an environmental consulting firm with offices in East Syracuse, Albany and Rochester and 40 other US locations, has added key senior staff to its New York operations. ENSR assists industrial companies and government clients with air, water and waste environmental consulting, engineering and remediation services.
New ENSR staff in East Syracuse includes Luke McKenney and Anthony Shortt. McKenney, a hydrologist with 20 years of experience in assessment and remediation of contaminated properties. McKenney joined ENSR's Environmental Remediation and Integrated Site Closure (ISC) group as Project Manager. Cecile Donaire-Fleckten, a remediation and regulatory compliance specialist with 8 years of experience, joined ENSR's as project manager in the Environmental Permitting and Compliance Department. Anthony Shortt joined ENSR's Industrial Hygiene group as Project Scientist with 17 years' experience in asbestos and lead-based paint and environmental site assessments. Michael Gerber, an industrial hygienist with 22 years' experience in laboratory and field air quality work, joined ENSR as and Industrial Hygiene Project Manager.
Additions to ENSR's Albany staff include Geoffrey Smith, who joined ENSR as a senior program manager. Smith has 23 years' environmental experience with expertise in wastewater consulting, auditing, and compliance management. In addition to new staff, Todd Schwendeman, newly-named corporate vice president for ENSR, was named Environmental Remediation and Integrated Site Closure Practice Leader, one of the largest of ENSR's environmental practice areas. Schwendeman has 22 years' experience managing site assessment and remediation projects across the United States.
In ENSR's Rochester operations, Laureen McMurray-Boyle was promoted to senior project manager. McMurray-Boyle recently worked with Oswego County to develop its application for the USEPA Brownfield Assessment Grant. She has professional experience with brownfields inventories and prioritization, community outreach, environmental site assessments, redevelopment and reuse planning, remedial work plans, and funding opportunities.
