Smart Devices Meet Smart Meters

Every day, we rely on our smartphones to help us stay informed, connected and entertained. Now, Kamstrup Water Metering offers an AMR system that uses smart devices to read smart meters. It is called READy, and it's simple to install and use; scanning a QR code is just one of the few, simple steps it takes to set it up. READy uses Google Maps to show the location of each meter. During your meter reading route, when a meter has been read, it disappears from the map. Once all meters are read, the data can be sent straight to the billing software from the field.

Kamstrup Water Metering offers an automated meter reading (AMR) system that uses smart devices to read smart meters. The AMR system is called READy and it's simple to install and use; scanning a QR code is just one of the few, simple steps it takes to set it up.

READy uses Google Maps to show the location of each meter. During your meter reading route, when a meter has been read, it disappears from the map. Once all meters are read, the data can be sent straight to the billing software from the field.

"The meter reading process is fantastic and we are very pleased with it," said Kamstrup customer Linda Gilbert with North City-Coello Water in North City, Ill. "Kamstrup has been wonderful to work with and we are thankful for the high quality of the product."
