About AMRA and Autovation
AMRA is a nonprofit association providing utilities information about innovative technologies that lead to improved operations, customer service and resource utilization.
AMRA is a nonprofit association providing utilities information about innovative technologies that lead to improved operations, customer service and resource utilization. Its membership represents more than 800 international utilities and corporations in water, electric and natural gas industries. AMRA members develop and implement automated resource-management technologies as well as participate in standardization and regulatory activities.
AMRA's primary mission is to provide objective education for utility representatives responsible for selecting, integrating and optimizing advanced metering and other utility automation technologies. The association's main educational event is Autovation: The AMRA International Symposium — the largest advanced metering and data-management forum in the nation.
Autovation 2004, Sept. 26-29 in Kissimmee, FL, takes a fresh look at automation strategies for utilities of all types and sizes. Sessions cover system fundamentals as well as advanced issues of interest to utility leaders who have managed AMR systems for years and now want to progress to the next level.
Fundamentals sessions will address topics such as business case development, technology needs matching, system optimization, integration and customer services. Advanced sessions will focus on benchmarking benefits, eliminating lost resources, building revenue, demand reduction and asset management. And customized utility-only forums provide a venue for completely unencumbered discussions.
The Autovation exhibit hall allows delegates to see demonstrations of all major solutions and service providers.
