TARPON SPRINGS, FL, March 29, 2005 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) -- Clean Water Technologies Inc. announced today that it has decided not to continue the licensing agreement for its Zorax Inc. subsidiary. The Zorax technology was for the extraction of Cryptosporidium and Giardia from water.

"The failure to attain U.S. patent approval has been a severe disappointment," said President Laurie C. Scala. "As a result, CWTI has never received any revenue from the technology," she concluded.

Clean Water is the exclusive licensee for a patented technology (U.S. patent # 6,042,731) that removes arsenic from drinking water, invented at the University of South Florida. The company receives royalties on the process from its sublicensee, International Water Purification Technologies LLC.
