MILWAUKEE, WI, Nov. 9, 2005 -- Badger Meter Inc. announced Oct. 24 that it was named one of the "200 Best Small Companies" by Forbes magazine.
"We are very pleased to receive this national recognition for our strong performance. Our focus on flow measurement and managing for the long term has generated overall increases in sales and earnings. Our shareholders have benefited as well with the substantial increase in the price of our stock and 13 years of increased dividend payments," said Richard A. The Forbes magazine list of the 200 Best Small Companies is based on performance for one-year and five-year periods as measured by return on equity, ratio of debt to equity and growth in sales and earnings. The last time that Badger Meter made the Forbes list was in 1999.
