Oct. 10, 2003 -- The Water Environment Federation will host its 76th annual Technical Exhibition and Conference this fall. Every year, the event draws thousands of water and wastewater professionals from around the world to learn the latest practices, solutions, and regulations in their field.

This year's event will be held Oct. 11-15 in Los Angeles, CA. WEFTEC® provides technical sessions and workshops on a wide variety of water quality topics, including industrial issues and treatment technology; lab practices; management of odors; membrane technologies; automation and information technology; collection systems; disinfection; and plant operations and maintenance, among others.

During the 2002 event, WEFTEC® drew over 10,000 professional attendees, and nearly 800 exhibiting companies. The exhibition provides a showcase for cutting-edge technologies in the water quality field.

While it has a heavy focus on wastewater treatment and conveyance, the show also features equipment and systems to handle virtually any aspect of water treatment -- from systems designed to treat millions of gallons a day, to on-site systems designed to handle the flows of a small commercial or industrial facility.

For a preview of some of the equipment and technologies that will be displayed at the event, see WaterWorld's September issue at http://ww.pennnet.com/articles/print_toc.cfm?p=41.
