Maple Shade, NJ, April 12, 2001 — StonCor Group, manufacturer of industrial and specialty coatings, linings, FRP grating and polymer flooring, today announced that Carboline and Plasite will redefine their product lines to ensure greater capabilities, more focused marketing, higher levels of service and the most comprehensive corrosion control solutions available for their global industrial customer base.

Carboline and Plasite, both leading names in the coatings and linings industry, became a part of the StonCor Group in 1999. They are now working together in redefining their product lines to ensure that both companies stay on the cutting edge of new technologies. "There was a lot of confusion in the market because of Carboline/Plasite's history and similar product offerings," said Dave Reif, President of the StonCor Group.

"Redefining our product lines was the logical solution. It allows both companies to concentrate on what they do best and, in turn, allows us to offer the best possible solutions to our customers."

Carboline will narrow its focus to specialize in corrosion resistant exterior coatings, architectural and OEM finishes, fire protection products, and all municipal above-ground water tank applications, both inside and out. Plasite will focus on all primary and secondary containment applications, including chemical and abrasion resistant tank linings and engineered systems for secondary containment areas. This structure will allow both Carboline and Plasite to focus their energies on specific market applications and will enable each to provide the most comprehensive line-up of corrosion control products and services available now and in the future.

Each company will maintain its own world-class technical service departments and will continue to promote their respective product lines through their own sales force. While research and development will also remain separate, polymer technologies will be shared to ensure that both companies have access to the best chemistry for their defined area of expertise.

The StonCor Group combines over 75 years of field experience and the resources of four world class corrosion control companies - Stonhard, Carboline, Plasite and Fibergrate - to provide cutting-edge technology, exceptional quality and unparalleled technical sales services.

The StonCor Group represents a single source solution for all coating, lining, flooring, fireproofing, grating and structural system requirements. For more information on the StonCor Group visit http://www.stoncor.com.
