CCFRPM pipeContent Dam Iww Volume 16 Issue 3 1605iwwps1 P01

Hobas pipe is suitable for virtually every installation method of new construction and rehab. The centrifugally cast, fiberglass-reinforced, polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe is inherently corrosion resistant and lasts 100 years or more. Leak-free, push-together joints reduce installation time and costs. It is widely used in corrosive environments such as industrial effluents, contaminated drainage and foul air as well as cooling and circulating water lines. It is also approved for potable water. Non-pressure and pressure classes are manufactured in diameters from 18 to 126 inches. Hobas Pipe USA has earned ISO 14001 certification representing the core set of standards for environmental performance.

Valve positionerContent Dam Iww Volume 16 Issue 3 1605iwwps1 P02

Badger Meter’s Research Control® SRD991 top-mount valve positioner mounts directly to the top of a control valve with a rugged linear potentiometer. The positioner uses a linear connection, which mitigates hysteresis between the positioner and actuator by feeding back the actual position of a valve actuator, providing significantly improved flow control. The positioner is available with an LCD screen, protocols (HART, PROFIBUS-PA and FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1) and two levels of diagnostics. All the diagnostics features can be easily configured and displayed by the positioner DTM.

Control valveContent Dam Iww Volume 16 Issue 3 1605iwwps1 P03

V-Ball valves from Valtorc are ideal for modulating flow through a pipe and can be actuated, with the V “notch” allowing for much freer flow. The valves are made from 316 stainless steel and are configurable in almost any industry. Additional features include: sizes between 1/4” and 6”; ANSI flanged, NPT (threaded) socket weld, butt-weld and tri-clamp; V “notch” available in 30-, 60- and 90-degree options; manual or actuated mode provides precise flow control in any industry.

Oil/water separatorContent Dam Iww Volume 16 Issue 3 1605iwwps1 P04

The OilDawg combines the use of separation-enhancing polypropylene tubes with an innovative tank design to create an oil/water separator that can handle flows from 5 gpm to over 1,000 gpm. The coalescing tubes are contained in removable baskets that are no more than 12” deep, allowing the tubular media to be cleaned in the basket using standard pressure washing equipment. The adjustable rotating pipe skimmer removes accumulated oil from the vessel.

High-performance flow controlContent Dam Iww Volume 16 Issue 3 1605iwwps1 P05

The RIKO® Plunger Valve is designed to minimize cavitation and vibration by directing flow around the inner core within the valve body. It is ideal for in-line energy dissipation and free-discharge applications. The unique plunger seating profile — with a downstream profile ring and piston quad O-ring — creates a drip-tight shut-off. High-strength ductile iron body with epoxy coating, internal stainless steel components, fully enclosed shaft bearings, and bronze overlay piston guides create long-term corrosion resistance and long life.

Benchtop pipe fittingContent Dam Iww Volume 16 Issue 3 1605iwwps1 P06

McElroy’s SmartFab™ 125 is the first benchtop machine that offers a smarter way to socket fuse pipe and fittings for polypropylene piping systems. Advanced features of the SmartFab 125 include its innovative inserts, which have the ability to reduce ovality in pipe and fittings. It also has the added convenience of a pivoting heater so that it can easily accommodate fittings located on either side of the machine. The SmartFab 125 has four jaws that adjust to any desired spacing and each jaw clamps individually, which allows for a greater combination of pipe and fitting sizes.
