ADS to receive two water quality awards for innovation
ALEXANDRIA, VA, Sept. 4, 2008 -- ADS Environmental Services and Accusonic Technologies, two divisions of ADS LLC, will each receive the prestigious Innovative Technology Award from the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international not-for-profit technical and educational water quality organization. The awards will be presented during ceremonies at WEFTEC®.08 -- WEF's 81st annual technical exhibition and conference taking place October 18-22, 2008, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The Innovative Technology Awards, which include one award for each of the four categories - collection systems, instrumentation, process equipment, and solids handling & disposal, are presented annually to WEF associate members who have introduced new innovative products or services related to the construction, operation, or maintenance of treatment facilities.
ADS Environmental Services® is being recognized in the collection systems category for its ADS Spider™ technology. The ADS Spider merges two existing technologies to increase the efficiency of alarm notification for broad applications including wastewater operations. The device uses cellular service to simultaneously act as an alarm dialer and data logger. It communicates directly with the operator without using an interposing Web service.
Accusonic® Technologies is being recognized in the instrumentation category for its Accusonic 7510+® flow meter technology. The device uses multiple chordal path, transit-time technology with application specific transducers to provide significant flow metering capability across a large range of pipes and channels as well as cross sectional temperature data.
