Started in 1947, The Hach Company (www.hach.com) first gained major success through development of a simplified titration method for measuring hardness in drinking water. From there, the company's product line expanded to include more parameters and instruments as the company continued to bring analytical chemistry out of the laboratory and into the workplace the world over. With the incorporation of American Sigma in 2000, Hach expanded beyond chemistry into flow measurement technology. Today, with the capability to measure over 100 different parameters, Hach is considered one of the biggest names in water monitoring.

Danaher (www.danaher.com) is a global manufacturer with a worldwide workforce of about 37,000. The company generated revenues totaling US$6.8 billion in FY2004, almost half generated outside the United States. It has leading businesses in professional instrumentation, industrial technologies, and tools & components.
