BARRINGTON, IL, Jan. 15, 2007 -- Mattson/Witt Precision Products Inc. today kicked off the start of its 50th anniversary year by announcing it exceeded sales and earnings goals by over 10% during its first full year of business under new leadership.
According to Jeff Witt, president of Mattson/Witt, who in 2005 purchased the assets of the company from Alamo Water Refiners, "2006 far exceeded our expectations, financially as well as for the business as a whole. We met all our goals for improving technical capabilities, manufacturing capacity and operating efficiencies -- plus, we'll receive our ISO9000 certification within the next few weeks. We're excited to enter our golden anniversary year with so much momentum."
Mattson/Witt will continue focusing on its core competency of machining and assembling standard and custom plastic parts while looking for opportunities to expand beyond the water industry where their expertise in plastics gives them an advantage over other machining operations. "Our many long-term customers have made us the standard of performance for our industry," says Witt. "We value those relationships and look forward to strengthening them in the years ahead."
Matt Oleskow Sr. originally founded Mattson/Witt Precision Products under the name Matt-Son in 1957, when he developed a plastic valve in his basement shop in Chicago. He sold it to the Marmon Group in March 1998. Marmon later merged it with Alamo Water Refiners, which Marmon bought in August 2000.
Witt invites all WQA Aquatech USA 2007 attendees to visit Mattson/Witt at Booth #515 to mark the company's 50 years of service and enter its 50th Anniversary Sweepstakes. "This is a great time to celebrate a major milestone with our business partners who've helped make it possible."
Mattson/Witt Precision Products (www.mattsonwitt.com) produces machined plastic tank heads, hubs and closures; slotted laterals and risers; assembled brine values; and other custom machined parts for the major industry OEMs.
