Neptune's FieldNet System selected by Central Vermont Public Service

TALLASSEE, AL, Nov. 12, 2007 -- Central Vermont Public Service (CVP) has selected Neptune Technology Group Inc. to implement Neptune's FieldNet utility field service automation suite.

CVPS is an investor-owned electric utility serving 158,000 customers in 152 communities throughout Vermont. With the FieldNet system, CVPS will have a state-of-the-art; highly adaptable system to further enhance its current meter reading operations while also providing a platform to support future field service needs.

FieldNet's ability to overcome the limitations of other systems on the market was one of the key criteria that led CVPS to make the selection. With the many unknowns about future AMI requirements and implementation timelines, CVPS sought a solution that was highly adaptable to help support whatever AMI direction CVPS took.
