• Veteran business development specialist joins creators of Hydro-Optic Disinfection.
HAR TUV, ISRAEL, July 26, 2006 -- Atlantium, the pioneer of water purifying Hydro-Optic Disinfection™ (HOD) technology, is pleased to announce that it has secured the services of Ilan Wilf as its chief executive officer.
"I am delighted to join the Atlantium team," said Wilf. "In my career I have developed and marketed many water treatment technologies and competed aggressively against formidable players, but I have yet to experience such a leap forward as Atlantium's innovative Hydro-Optic Disinfection system. Our solution's unique attributes and its adaptability to both existing and new market opportunities positions Atlantium as the industry leader. We deliver consistent, reliable, >log 5 inactivation of pathogens, all with the intention of increasing output and performance along with significantly lowered operating and maintenance costs."
Atlantium's HOD technology is based on deploying a propriety medium pressure, high intensity UV lamp and advanced fiber-optic principles that guarantee a complete microbial kill. With installations across Europe and the Middle East, Atlantium's system is field-proven in several industries.
Wilf most recently served as vice president of business development for Tetra Tech Inc., an environmental consulting firm providing services for both industrial and municipal clients with 7,500 employees and $1.4 billion in revenues. He had previously held senior management level positions for Infilco-Degremont (IDI) of Richmond, VA, and Hydranautics of Oceanside, CA.
"Atlantium is definitely the place to be at this time," continued Wilf. "Tnuva, the largest dairy in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world, disinfects all of the process water entering its plant utilizing Atlantium's HOD technology. Our systems are so powerful that they literally act as a firewall against micro-organisms, killing even the most resistant strains."
"We believe Ilan will prove to be an invaluable asset for Atlantium," remarked Oded Rose, Atlantium's Executive Vice President for Marketing and Business Development. "Partnering his considerable track record of success in water- related industries with our out-of-the-box innovations seems like a natural fit. Given the recognition that our technology has begun to garner and Ilan's proven ability to take businesses to the next level, we look forward to a long, mutually rewarding collaboration."
